Traffic
The Santan Freeway has a strong, upward-trending traffic volume and experiences a heavy rush-hour and an ever-present steady stream of traffic day and night. The Arizona Department of Transportation's (ADOT) estimate of the 2006 traffic volume on this segment of the Santan Freeway is 100,000 vehicles per day or 3 million vehicles per month. ADOT has likely underestimated the phenomenal volume of traffic flooding the Santan Freeway.
